It is wierd to be writing this knowing that by the time most of you read it I will be a father for the second time.
Brittany began experiencing contractions again last night around 5:00 PM. They continued through the night intensifying and becoming more frequent. The doctors did everything they could to possibly slow down the contractions; however, at around 4:00 AM they decided to move her into a delivery room because she was already 3 centimeters dilated. Gaines will be born today, April 24th.
Praise God that Brittany held on to Gaines for 37 days after her water broke. She was admitted at 24 weeks 1 day and will give birth at 29 weeks 3 days.
Please pray for a healthy and safe delivery for Gaines and Brittany. The second part of this journey is about to begin.

Praying in Iowa. I just got home from my shift at the Family Birth Center and always check for any updates. Praise the Lord for making it this far. I am praying for a safe delivery for the little guy, mom and dad!
I have never stopped reading your blog and praying, I just never commented! I hope the delivery went well and that mommy and baby are doing fine. I am praying for some strong lungs and a strong little body! I am praying for a good recovery for the new mommy and for so many other things. You guys are in my thoughts and prayers. We've been praying daily in TN and will continue to do so. Looking forward to some pictures of Mr. Gaines! I am lucky enough to work with preemies and I have seen many 29 week babies leave the hospital perfectly healthy including my nephew.

We just come to you today and ask that you wrap your loving arms around the Daniel family. Please give Beau and Brittany a peace and comfort only you can provide. We pray for Brittany. Please help this delivery go smooth and as pain free as possible. We pray for strength for sweet Gaines. We know you have something very special planned for Gaines and the Daniel family. We are laying at your feet today asking you for peace, comfort, strength and guidance for today and the days ahead. We pray for all of the doctors and nurses treating Brittany and Gaines-fill the staff with knowledge and wisdom as they are caring for them. Almost 30 weeks is miraculous. May God be glorified through your lives and through the life of your sons. We are praying and eagerly waiting for news of Gaines birth.
