It has been 3 weeks (Day 21)

Brittany and I slept late this morning. Actually, she is still asleep. Last night was a late night. Brittany was assigned a nurse she had never had before. The nurse had trouble monitoring Gaines. Long story short, Gaines' heart rate monitoring did not end until midnight. The good news was that Gaines' heart rate was perfect.

Yesterday we got a really cool card in the mail. In Montgomery, Reed goes to "school" at Little ALFA (ALFA is the company Brittany works for and they have a daycare on site). His class made him a card to let him know much they miss him. His friends used their hand prints to make flowers and their thumbprints to make ladybugs. A picture of the card is below. Brittany loved it.

That card is just adorable. I might have to help my grandchildren make one and send to their GREAT grandparents.

Still praying here in Ohio.

I just found your blog from a friend of a friend and read the ENTIRE thing during my lunch hour! I didn't even stop to eat! What a neat story God is writing with you guys! Thank you so much for sharing the day to day and your thoughts as you go! This is an incredible (albeit a bit scary and unpredictable) journey and I can't wait to see how God unfolds it! Its awesome to sense your peace and know that you trust Him and you understand that He is Good in all! Blessings to you guys! I'll be reading! :)

I just heard yesterday about your "fun" trip. We are praying for all of y'all. Since the RRAA newsletter mentioned y'all, I have now heard of other people that do not know you at all asking people to pray for you and sending them to your blog! Take care and we hope it is a while longer (for Gaines sake) before we see you!!!

I've been following your blog for about two weeks, and thought it was about time to post and say hi!

I'm just so happy that Gaines is continuing to do so well and Brittany is being such a trooper stuck in the hospital bed. It's tough, girl, but you are doing awesome!! Beau, you sound like such a wonderful supportive hubby. It's got to be so hard for you both being separated from Reed, but thank goodness you have loved ones to care for him while you are in DC.

I'm praying for you!
