Sunday Night Prayer Requests

I just have a quick prayer request for tonight/tomorrow. Our nurse tonight mentioned that if Gaines' carbon dioxide level didn't go down by tomorrow (he was back up to 80 something at 6 pm) that they might re-intubate him tomorrow. That didn't come from a doctor so its not definite but I've been expecting it the last day or so. I've known that is a possibility all along but I hate the thought of it. Please pray specifically for lower carbon dioxide levels. He also has a heart echo tomorrow. Please pray that we are able to rule out any heart problems.

Love to all,

Brittany

Beau and Brittany-

I wanted to let you know that we just got home from the FBC Montgomery Sunday evening worhsip service and at the end of the service Jay asked for special prayer for your family and specifically for baby Gaines. Tonight was the end of the year choir program and play for the 1st - 6th grades. We can not wait to see Gaines singing on that stage in just a few short years, and believe me it will be here before you know it. Just wanted you to know that your FBC family was praying for you tonight and that we will pray you all back to "Sweet Home Alabama".

Let us know if we can help in any way.

Brittany & Beau,
We are praying…specifically for those things you have mentioned. Specifically, we are praying for lower carbon dioxide levels and a good report tomorrow on the heart echo. We are coving you both with Philippians 4:6… "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus" . We are praying you both feel that special Peace that only He can provide. We are praying Isaiah 35:3.. for you….."Encourage the exhausted, and strengthen the feeble. Say to those with anxious heart, 'Take courage, fear not. .” Billy & Camilla Irvin – Montgomery, AL

I meant to leave you a comment sooner but Faith was admitted into the hospital again and I didn't get a chance.
Our girls were in the NICU at Childrens for 5 months, 178 days. And Faith was extubated when she was 72 days old and Grace was 101 days old.
Gaines is doing AMAZINGLY well to be extubated in less than a couple weeks. Hold fast to that.
Grace was on C-PAP, then re-intubated again, 3 times.
I remember sometimes I felt like everything we were hearing in the NICU was negative, or bad news. But Gaines is held tight by the mercies and grace of our Heavenly Father.
I will definately keep you all at the feet of Jesus. Praying that his Co2 comes down and his echo cardiogram comes back perfect.
