Pictures

We went to visit Gaines this morning and his oxygen was back at 40%. Apparently it had been at 40% throughout the night. We did discover that he requires almost 5% less oxygen when he is on his tummy rather than his back. He was on his tummy when we left this morning and his oxygen was down to 38%. He is still tolerating his feeds (36 cc's) very well, he had no residuals all day yesterday. He also continues to hold his temperature. He is now up to 4 pounds 3 ounces (he has gained one pound since he was born).

Last Sunday we were able to take Reed to his first Major League Baseball game. We went to Nationals Park to see the Washington Nationals play the Baltimore Orioles. One of my friends from work provided us with the tickets. We had a great time.

Below are a few pictures from the baseball game and a few new pictures of Gaines (taken this morning). The pictures of Gaines are taken while his cares were being done so he doesn't have his CPAP in.

I love the little CPAP "pig nose." Aiden has a little line his nose from the CPAP.

While I haven't been commenting very much, I have definitely been praying!!

Is there a possibility that he might come home on oxygen (after he leaves the CPAP behind of course?) Just like Kathryn he seems to be doing well but just needs a little extra.

What sweet pictures! Gaines has so much hair! He's a cutie. So glad you had fun at the game, just think, in a summer or two, all four of you will be going to games! Praying for you all today; specifically for Gaines' lungs to develop further and for his O2 to go down.

Great pictures....thanks for sharing.. So glad yall had a great time at the ballgame. Praying you feel the great promise of Romans 8:31-33.. If God is for us, no one can defeat us. He did not spare his own Son but gave him for us all. So with Jesus, God will surely give us all things. Who can accuse the people God has chosen? No one, because God is the One who makes them right.

Praying for Gaines to continue the progress... and for God to supply you an extra dose of peace and patience.

I think he does look like Reed when he was a baby. I was flipping back through old pictures on our blog of Reed and Kat when they were babies at Christmas '07. I definitely think they look a lot alike.

Still praying here in Florida,

Great pictures! I've always wondered about life flights or ambulance...is there an age or milestone he could achieve to transfer to your local hospital? Or, is it just too risky until he's ready to be home anyway?

You all have done so well, you'll be home soon!
