Tuesday Night

We had visitors today. Brittany's Grandparents stopped in DC on their way to Pennsylvania for a vacation. Gaines was able to meet his Great-Grandparents. When we visited him tonight his oxygen was 38-39% but he did get down to 35% today. Please pray his oxygen requirements continue to head in the right direction.
Here are a few new photos.

Am so glad that Gaines is holding his own. Being on the cpap is so much better than being on the vent-less risk for complications.

I know that this isn't the focus of your blog but I'm so curious: what kind of work do you both do where you can stay in DC for this long? Obviously I realize regardless this is where you'd be, but I'm just curious because I know I wouldn't have a job to go back to if something like this happened to me. And that's really kinda sad b/c I'm a nurse! We have to apply for FMLA is we miss more than 3 shifts in a row!

I didn't get a chance to comment on your post from Monday, but I wanted to give you some suggestions on how my sister found her nanny. She used a lot of word of mouth. If she saw mothers out with their kiddos in the park (in the evening), she'd ask about their daycare/nanny. Also, I found a website called sittercity.com - I'm sure there are many, many more out there like this site. You have to pay to gain access to it, but they conduct background checks on all their sitter/nannies, whatever you're seeking.

Praying for you all!! I know how hard it is to see the big picture when you're going through all this. But make sure you look at the pictures you taking and you'll see how far you all have come.

And remember, special babies aren't measured in milestones, but inchstones!!
