No News is Good News

Not much to report today. The doctors started to monitor Gaines more closely today. They hope to begin to wean the flow on the cannula. I guess his "resting period" is over. He has continued to gain weight and is now 6 pounds 13 ounces. Isn't unbelievable he is almost 7 pounds?

Brittany and I are still getting adjusted to being home. I think we have finally settled into a routine. I visit Gaines during the day at his 2:00 PM feeding. I get to spend about an hour with him. Normally I get off work at 4:00 but because of my time at the hospital I now stay until 5:00. Brittany brings Reed by my office at 5:00 and then she visits Gaines until shift change at 6:30 PM. We are all home by 7:00 for dinner and then Reed goes to bed at 8:00.

Fortunately, our Sunday School class is bringing us dinner every other night. This has been a huge help. It is amazing how God continues to provide for us. Please continue to pray for Gaines' progress and that he tolerates the weaning of the flow of his cannula.

God has been so faithful to all of us who have been praying for you. He has answered our prayers for you. So many miracles already and so much to be thankful for. I will continue to pray for our Little Man. Let's pray he is home by Labor Day!! If it is God's will...It Will BE Done!! And...KUDOS to those wonderful Southern Baptist Churches. I don't attend your church but my father was a Baptist minister. He believed Fried Chicken and Banana Pudding made everything better. So, So glad you are home. I know Jack was glad to see you. Still praying for the little and big things for all of you.

Hugs and Prayers from Prattville!

Glad you've settled into a routine and that God is continuing to provide for you and your family. We're still praying in Maryland for Gaines' continued improvement!

So glad to hear you're getting settled at home. It must be comforting to be surrounded by so many familiar people, places, and things.

Definitely continuing to pray for Gaines and his improvement each and every day! He's such a blessed boy (and so is Reed!) to have such faithful, God-loving parents.

I've been following your blog since the beginning and it is amazing how big Gaines is getting. He is coming right along, even though it seems so slow to you all. Glad to see things are settling down on the home front. That must be a huge help.
