Update from Beau

This evening they were checking Gaines' heart rate and the nurses said his heart rate looks really good. At some points, his heart rate was measuring readings typical of a 28 week old.

Brittany is still doing fine. We are getting ready to go to bed for the evening.

By the way, we love reading the comments and emails from everyone. We may not be able to respond to many of them, but please keep sending them. We aren't going to have very many visitors so emails and comments are wonderful.

Came over via Angie Smith's blog and wanted to post and let you know that I am praying for all of you, and specifically that Gaines stays put and stays healthy, even beyond 28 weeks.

Dear Daniel Family,
I found your blog through Angie Smith, and when I read about your little baby I felt I had to comment. A girlfriend of mine gave birth to her son, Jack, at just under 27 weeks. He weighed 1 pound and 9 ounces. He has had quite a fight since then, but he is doing very well and is almost up to five pounds! I thought it might be comforting for you to know about him and his success story. He is still in the hospital but gets bigger and stronger every day. If you'd like to read about him or get in touch with his parents, his blog address is: http://thefannings.blogspot.com/

All four of you are in my prayers. I have an 18 month old son and I can't imagine how painful it would be to be separated from him, so I'm especially praying for Reed :)

I'm from Angie's blog too :) I prayed (and will continue to pray) that Gaines will stay put at least until 26 weeks and that there will be no infections for either one of you. Hang in there; there are so many people praying for you all.

Praying for your family from hawaii. Saw the message on Angie Smith's blog, too. Praying specifically against no infection, and that Baby Gaines continues to grow strong and waits until 28 weeks! Will also pray for all your family...
love in Christ,

I am a Sunday, too, and the mother of a 28 week preemie who is now a feisty perfect 7 year old. Praying that you make it to at least 28 weeks and that all goes well.

Goodmorning,
Hope you had a restful night and will have a peaceful morning...your parents, Abby, and Reed are on the way...rest while you can! Sun is shinning and looks like we will have a pretty day. The border and most of the inside is finished...just need a couple of more days...hold on tight. Love, Aunt Beth

Hey Brittany ~ I just wanted to let you know I am thinking about your family. I'm going to miss seeing Reed's sweet little face at daycare for awhile. He always gives the biggest smiles! I will be praying for all of you! Kim Boyer

My prayers are with you and I have recruited more prayer warriors by telling them about your blog and your situation. As your niece Kathryn proves, miracles happen all the time! We have such a great God we serve! My prayers will be with you and your family during this difficult time. Jamie B

I'm the one who sent your prayer request to Angie for all of the Sunday's. I am also part of the Footprints Ministry that started in Montgomery. I now head the Birmingham chapter. The Lord brought me to the DINKS which led me to Kelly and Greg and the wonderful girls. Allll of that to say, you have a network of prayer warriors like you would not begin to imagine. I have been thinking about you all day.
