Twice per day, the nurses monitor Gaines' heart rate. Typically, they monitor for no more than 20 to 30 minutes. This morning, they are keeping Brittany on the monitor for much longer. She has been on the monitor now for over an hour. The biggest concern right now is that Gaines' heart rate is high. A high heart rate can be a sign of infection.

The doctors would like for his heart rate to stay between 120 and 160. Right now it is measuring closer to 170. Please pray for Gaines.

Dear Lord we lift Britney and Gaines to you right now. We pray that you will envelope them in Your loving arms. We pray Gaines can stay warm in his mommy's tummy. We pray his heart rate will slow to the rate it needs to be. We pray infection will stay at bay. Most of all Lord, we pray you will continue to shower this sweet family with your loving comfort and grace. For you and you alone can show this to them. Amen.

Brittany and Beau,
Brittany, I have been friends with your Mom and Dad for a very long time. I work at the City Clerk's Office in Andalusia. I am praying that God will give you peace and comfort and keep Gaines safe where he is until it is safe for him to come out to see his Mom, Dad, and brother. I pray his heart rate goes down and there will be no infection. Please know you have a lot of people at the City of Andalusia praying for you. God Bless all of you.

You do not know me. Katie Smith is my cousin. I wanted you to know what I am praying for you this very moment and will continue to do so. May God's peace cover you and allow you to rest knowing He is holding Gaines in His strong and mighty hand. Give the doctors wisdom and clarity, that they will not miss a single detail.... and I will continue to pray.

I had a preemie at 30 weeks and it was so scary even being that far along. I can only imagine what you guys are going through. The medical community can do wonders these days with tiny babies but God can do much greater things. Praying that baby Gaines "stays put" and no infection!! Prayers from Birmingham!

Dear Daniel Family,

I have been praying constantly for you from the beginning. Please know as soon as I read about Gaines' heart rate I started praying harder. No infection, lower heart rate, safety for Brittany and Gaines, peace and calm for Beau. Remember, GOD is the great physician and He will handle every need we have. So as we all continue to be faithful in prayer for you, GOD listens and answers.......Isaiah 41:10 says "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your GOD. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Blessings to you,
Brenda McDonald
