Apparently, the resident doctors at G.W.U.H. only stay in a "department" for a month. So, this morning we were woken at 6:00 AM by new faces. They took Britt's blood this morning just to check her white blood cell count (this was scheduled). Other than that everything is normal. We will post the results of the blood test as soon as we get them, but we expect the results to be normal.
By the way, the new chair was like sleeping on air.

I'm thrilled you made it past day 10, that's awesome!(Stay put Gaines) I was also glad to hear you have a MUCH better chair. I had to sleep on a regular chair when my husband was in the hospital and it was absolutly not comfy our stay was about 27 hrs so not nearly as long as you but I was able to picture the idea of chair sleeping. My prayers contine for you all.
I am so glad the days are going up in numbers. Have you started naming the residents like on Grey's? Are there are McDreamy's? :)
I hope you have another uneventful day!
Still praying here in Tuscaloosa - I know it must be hard to miss your little Reed, but it sounds like he's in good hands!!!! Keep up the good work "mama"!!!! Every day counts!!!!
Welcome to the world of teaching hospitals where they all rotate! Do you understand our frustrations from when Kat was in the hospital and in walks a new team who doesn't know our daughter or her circumstances!
On a different note, I am so glad that you are still hanging in there!! Brit - your job right now is to grow that baby! Reed was so excited to see Kat this morning and Kat looked at him like he was nuts! (She was still sleepy and he was already wide eyed and wild!) He was very excited to see the ball popper machine!
Praying for another great day!
Love you guys - Kelly
Still praying for you guys here in Mississippi. Glad everything is still going good. I'm sure boredom sets in quite often, but as several others mentioned, every day counts.
You guys are so fortunate to be able to be there together. Many couples probably couldn't do that due to work regulations. It always helps to have an understanding work family.
I'll continue to lift you guys up. Keep up the good work!
Beau...
I am glad to hear you got a good night's rest!
We are still thinking about y'all and praying here in Andalusia!

How awesome it is that ya'll have surpassed the 7-10 day goal! I am praying for you here in Birmingham!
Beau...I am glad you got a good nights sleep in the new chair!
I am hoping you have an uneventful day:)
Residents come and go, God is the same every single morning. Bless you today.
I am glad to read that you are still in the "holding pattern" there in the hospital! It is beautiful here today and hopefully things will dry out before it rains again this week. I know you are counting the minutes until Friday when you get to see Reed and Beau's sweet family. Maybe things will hold off and you will have an "Easter Baby"! Have a great day. The Steindorffs
Brit: You're amazing--stay strong and we'll keep praying. Ms Angie
I linked to your blog from KellysKorner--just wanted to say I am praying for you. I, too, spent some time in the hospital following PPROM and had a premature baby. I know that it is a scary journey--but take comfort in your faith--God is with you.
Congratulations on making it past the "7-10 day goal"!!! And glad the new chair gave Beau a better night's sleep. I sent a link to your blog to my friend, Sarah, who visited you yesterday. I hope her family is able to bring you comfort as a "been there done that" family of a preemie born from being on bedrest at GW. They really are a great Christian family who want to help. If you want to see what my former 26 week preemie is up to- check out www.therowanblog.blogspot.com. We were finger painting again last night. She loves it. I'll be sending a care package through Sarah this week. Glad you don't have gestational diabetes- I don't know any healthy recipes! What's the fun of baking if there isn't chocolate invovled! Even if you are full of treats, it's always fun to have extra to share with the medical team that is taking such good care of you. Still praying!!!
Hello Daniel Family! I have been reading your blog and wanted to let you know that your positivity is contagious! (I prob misspelled both of those words) Congrats on making it past day 10. Continue to have faith in the lord and he will continue to bless you! Tiff
Hi there! I just happened upon your blog. I actually can't remember how I got here! Anyway, I've read everything from the beginning and I just wanted to let you know that I'm thinking about you and your sweet family. I don't know you at all....but now I feel like I do. You are in my prayers.
Hello Daniel family! I know you don't have a clue who I am, so let me explain. I live here in the DC area, and somehow I found your blog. I would love to help y'all out in any way I can - bring y'all food, magazines, run any errands, or just come visit!!! I know bed rest is no fun, especially in a new town with no family around in a hospital!! Please don't hesitate to ask for anything!! I will continue to pray for you and your family!
