Day 10 continues

Around 10 AM this morning the nurses took Britt's temperature. It was in the acceptable range, although it was higher than normal. Obviously, we were very anxious for them to take her temperature again. They waited 4 hours and took it again and this time it was back to normal. Praise God for small miracles.

We mentioned earlier that a church here in DC has "adopted" us. Really, a small group from a church here in DC has "adopted" us. A few of you have asked questions about how the church found us.

A friend of mine from Montgomery has a friend that lives in DC. When my friend heard about our situation he contacted his friend in DC. The friend in DC is associated with a small group from Grace Presbyterian Church in DC.

This small group is incredible. A member of the small group has visited us almost every day since they found out about us. The visits are usually no more than an hour and always end in prayer. It is an awesome feeling to have this small group of believers pray for us and pray with us. They are supporting us with their prayers and their presence...and most of them have never met us. Its a God Thing.

Thank you for all the prayers...we can definitely feel his presence.

Beau

Day 10, wow! That is a milestone. The sun is out in stormy Montgomery now...a crazy weekend of weather so far. Hang in there Beau and Brittany, I know you are both worn out from just being cooped up in the hospital room. I love the comment about the chair and bed being God's arms. I'm pretty sure you are on every Church Prayer List in town now and there will be a tremendous number praying for you at every one of them tomorrow. I wish there was something we could do to help, know we are here. Love, Debbie

I just found your blog through Kelly's Korner blog and will be adding you to my prayer list!! I am so encouraged to see how many medically boring days you have had. Each day little Gaines is in there the better, yay!! I am from MN and really wishing that Spring would come. We had snow a few days ago. And today the sun is out and hopefully melting most of it. I am married and have 3 children that keep me very busy. Are there any particular games you like to play or authors you like to read? A fun and addicting game that is fun to play on the computer is called Snood. Have you heard of it? Just google it. I will keep checking in with you to see how you are doing. Praise God that the small group has adopted you! That is wonderful!!

Take care!

Psalms 31:14. But I trust in you, O Lord; I say, "You are my God." 15a. My times are in your hands;"

I, like others, found your blog from a friend of a friend of a friend. You know, a God thing. I can't imagine all you are going through. I do know, however, that our time is in God's Hands. Every second, every minute, every hour, every day, every week is in His, and only His, control. Ephesians 3:20 tell us He is able to do immeasurably more than we can think or even imagine. Hang in there. What satan intended for harm, God intends for good.

I found your blog thru Kelly's Korner and wanted to leave a message! I can only imagine how bored you are stuck in that bed. I cannot believe you have made it 10 days already! That is AWESOME! Your son Reed is adorable and I love Jack! Hang in there!

I just came over from Kelly's Korner. Lifting you and your family up in prayer today. Isn't is amazing how small this world really is? Amazing you have a whole new family in the DC are helping to provide for you. May God bless you all during this trial!

I just stumbled across your blog via a friend, and I just want you to know that I will be praying for you guys, particularly for little Gaines. Our son Eli was born 2 months premature and is now a healthy, happy (albeit small!) 11-month-old. Like you say, miracles do happen!

Found this blog from Kelly's Korner blog. I will be following your story and keeping you and your family, especially little Gaines in my prayers. I am a mom of 5 and have been on bedrest. Praying you find lots to keep you busy....once that second little guy comes along, your free time will be scarce. :) May you continue to feel God's presence all around you. ~Melissa

I found your blog through Kelly's Korner. I was immediately drawn to it because I am having my baby on Wednesday (scheduled section). I can't imagine being in your situation, but I know that God has a wonderful plan for you. You may never know on this side of heaven why this is happening, but one day you will. By the way, Ohs' are my favorite cereal and I have eaten an insane amount since I have been pregnant. I digress. I am praying for you and I am leaving you with my favorite verse. I had cancer a few years ago and this has since become my life verse.
"Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, and faithful in prayer"
Romans 12:12
